Whitetail Woodcrafters currently offers three Legacy Firearm Award options: the Henry Golden Boy .22 Rifle, the Henry Big Boy .357 Magnum/.38 Special, and the Browning Citori CX 12 Gauge.
The best option depends on the recipient and the significance of the occasion. The Henry Golden Boy is a versatile choice for service awards and retirements. The Henry Big Boy is suited to major milestones, promotions, and leadership recognition. The Browning Citori CX is designed for executive recognition, lifetime achievement, and exceptional careers.
Each award includes the selected firearm, custom engraving on one side of the buttstock, recipient and organization details, professional artwork, a digital proof for approval, expert engraving, and FFL transfer coordination where required.
Yes. Whitetail Woodcrafters can incorporate a police department, sheriff’s office, FOP lodge, association, agency, or organization logo into the design. Artwork should be provided in the highest-quality format available.
Yes. The engraving can include the recipient’s name, rank, badge number, years of service, award date, retirement date, department name, and other meaningful details. Badge numbers are optional.
Yes. Depending on the image quality and design requirements, photographs and other personalized artwork can be incorporated into the engraving. A digital proof will be provided before production begins.
Yes. A personalized recognition message can be included to honor service, leadership, sacrifice, achievement, community impact, retirement, or another meaningful occasion.
Yes. A digital design proof will be emailed for review and approval before engraving. Changes can be requested during the proofing process so all names, dates, artwork, and wording can be confirmed.
Typical turnaround time is approximately six to eight weeks after all order details and artwork have been received. Timing may be affected by firearm availability, design revisions, proof approval, and transfer requirements. Ordering early is recommended for scheduled presentations or ceremonies.
The recipient must be legally eligible to receive the firearm, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements must be followed. When required, the completed firearm will be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer selected for the recipient, where the required transfer process will be completed.
Yes. Police departments, sheriff’s offices, FOP lodges, law enforcement associations, and other organizations may order multiple firearms for different recipients or recognition occasions. Each firearm can be personalized individually.
Legacy Firearm Awards may be purchased by qualifying police departments, sheriff’s offices, government agencies, FOP lodges, police associations, foundations, businesses, coworkers, family members, and other eligible purchasers. The final transfer must comply with all applicable requirements.
When an FFL transfer is required, the firearm cannot be shipped directly to the recipient’s home. It will be shipped to an eligible licensed FFL dealer, where the required transfer process will be completed.
Select the desired firearm option and provide the recipient’s name, rank, department information, logo, relevant dates, and recognition message. Whitetail Woodcrafters will then create a custom design proof for review before engraving begins.
